Graham Potter has made three changes from the side that beat Dinamo Zagreb in midweek as we prepare to take on Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea vs Arsenal line-ups

The Blues are back in Premier League action with a big London derby in SW6 this lunchtime hoping to secure our first home win against the Gunners since August 2018.

With Ben Chilwell’s hamstring injury likely to keep him out until after the World Cup, Marc Cucurella returns to the starting 11, along with Thiago Silva and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Kalidou Koulibaly and Denis Zakaria drop to the bench, which also features Mateo Kovacic.

Regardless of the system Chelsea start with, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will lead the line up front supported by Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, with Jorginho and Loftus-Cheek expected to be deployed in central midfield.

Edouard Mendy keeps his place in goal behind Cesar Azpilicueta, Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva and Cucurella. Our Spanish skipper makes his 334th Premier League appearance for the club, taking him clear as our third-highest appearance maker in the competition behind only John Terry and Frank Lampard.

There is also a place in the side for Raheem Sterling, although whether that is at wing-back or further forward remains to be seen.

Arsenal name a familiar line-up with just one alteration from last weekend’s big win over Nottingham Forest which sees Oleksandr Zinchenko return at left-back.
