Frank Lampard has made six changes to his Chelsea team to face Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League today.
Chelsea vs Brighton line-ups
Following the midweek Champions League exertions at Real Madrid, Frank Lampard hinted he could bring several players into his line-up to keep his starting XI fresh for the visit of Brighton to the Bridge.
Although goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is one of the five players who started in Madrid who does so again today, this time as captain, two of the defenders in front of him do not. Thiago Silva sits this one out after playing his first game in six weeks against Real and Kalidou Koulibaly is unavailable after picking up a hamstring injury on Wednesday evening. They are replaced by Benoit Badiashile and Trevoh Chalobah.
Wesley Fofana and Ben Chilwell continue, but Reece James is another who drops to the bench, as does Mateo Kovacic in the middle, with Denis Zakaria and Conor Gallagher coming in alongside Enzo Fernandez.
Raheem Sterling retains his spot in attack, but Christian Pulisic and Mykhailo Mudryk are both introduced to the line-up, with Joao Felix the other player who started in Madrid among the substitutes today.
Kai Havertz misses out with a minor knee injury.
Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi had made three changes to the team which lost 2-1 to Tottenham last week. Levi Colwill is one of the players to make way, as he is currently on loan from Chelsea and so is ineligible to feature against the Blues.
He is replaced by Adam Webster at centre-back, with the other two changes seeing Robert Sanchez return as goalkeeper and Evan Ferguson come in for Danny Welbeck up front.
