Wesley Fofana and N’Golo Kante return to the starting XI as interim head coach Bruno Saltor makes two changes in his first Chelsea line-up, to face Liverpool in the Premier League tonight.
Chelsea vs Liverpool line-ups
Kepa Arrizabalaga continues in goal, but there is a change to the defence in front of him. In what looks like a back three, Wesley Fofana, who missed Saturday’s loss to Aston Villa due to injury, comes in beside Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella.
That means Reece James is likely to push forward into a wing-back role, with Ben Chilwell on the opposite flank. Mateo Kovacic and Enzo Fernandez line up in midfield again, but are joined by the returning Kante, who captains the side after coming off the bench against Villa for his first appearance since August.
Kai Havertz and Joao Felix continue in attack, with Mykhailo Mudryk and Ruben Loftus-Cheek the two players making way.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made six changes to his side following their 4-1 defeat to Manchester City at the weekend. Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Konstantinos Tsimikas, Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino all come into their team, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo among those dropping to the bench.
