Chelsea were named Best Club of the Year at the 2024 Women’s Football Awards, which were held in London on Thursday night.
The second edition of the awards, which aim to celebrate outstanding achievement in all levels of the women’s game, were hosted by former Lioness and Chelsea forward Eniola Aluko and Jamie Carragher.
Our award recognises our success on the pitch – winning the Women’s Super League title and reaching the Champions League semi-final – and also our work off the field such as our mentoring programmes, networking events, and specialist programmes within the wider community.
Our striker Sam Kerr was highly commended in the Football Player of the Year category, with Manchester City’s Bunny Shaw winning the award.
Former Blues manager Emma Hayes was also highly commended in the Manager or Coach of the Year category, which was awarded to England’s Sarina Wiegman.
