Chelsea Women season ticket holders and official supporters club members were contacted directly about a priority pre-sale window for buying tickets for the fixture, which will be on Monday 19 August (kick-off 7pm ET) at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

With five men’s team games in the States already announced for the summer, today’s major addition further expands Chelsea Football Club’s USA Tour 2024.

Chelsea, the freshly crowned Women’s Super League champions after our superb 6-0 win in Manchester at the weekend, will be competing against a NJ/NY Gotham FC side who are the reigning National Women’s Soccer League champions.

This will be the first time the English league champions and the league champions in the USA will be facing off against each other. Adding to the interest is the fact there will be a new head coach leading the London team.

The New Jersey-based club recently came to Blues fans’ attention when they became the new home for our former goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger.

Gotham also have US Women’s National Team forward Lynn Williams who at the weekend broke the NWSL's all-time, all-competitions goal-scoring record, previously held by our own Sam Kerr. Another former Blue, Crystal Dunn, is also part of their roster.

This is the second time in three years that Chelsea Women will visit the USA as part of the preparations for the new season, although this time it is East Coast rather than West Coast. In 2022 the Blues competed for the Women’s International Champions Cup in Portland, Oregon.
