Chelsea Women can lift silverware for the first time this season when we take on Arsenal in the Continental League Cup final on Sunday.
The Conti Cup presents the first of four opportunities for Emma Hayes and her side to win a trophy this term, with our WSL, Champions League and FA Cup hopes very much alive and kicking, too.
In fact, we beat Arsenal just last weekend in the FA Cup, goals from Sophie Ingle and Sam Kerr securing a 2-0 victory at Kingsmeadow. The same outcome on Sunday and we will get our hands on the League Cup for the third time in our history following the triumphs of 2020 and 2021.
When and where?
We meet Arsenal at Selhurst Park, the home of Crystal Palace, on Sunday 5 March.
Kick-off time
The final will start at 3pm UK time.

The form
Outstanding! The Blues still haven’t lost a game in any competition since the opening day of the season. We have won our last five games, and eight of our last nine including that cup success over the Gunners last time out.
In the Conti Cup, we won 3-1 at Tottenham in the quarter-finals before thumping West Ham 7-0 in the semis.
Arsenal’s recent form has been a little stickier. As well as that reverse at Kingsmeadow, they were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City and held to a goalless draw at West Ham in the WSL prior to the international break.
They did however beat Man City 1-0 in the Conti Cup semi-final between those league results. In the quarters of this competition, they eased past Aston Villa 3-0.
Chelsea Women vs Arsenal Women recent head-to-head record
Chelsea and Arsenal have already met twice this season. In addition to the recent FA Cup meeting, we drew 1-1 at the Emirates in January, when the in-form Kerr scored a dramatic equaliser in the final minute of normal time to cancel out Kim Little's second-half penalty.
We last met Arsenal in this competition in October 2020, brushing them aside 4-1 at Kingsmeadow in the group stage. Magda Eriksson, Bethany England and Guro Reiten, with two, found the net.
Earlier that year, we won the Conti Cup for the first time by dramatically beating Arsenal 2-1 at the City Ground courtesy of a last-minute England winner. We will be aiming to repeat the trick on Sunday.
Next up for the Blues
Attention returns to the WSL on Wednesday when we host Brighton at Kingsmeadow. Kick-off is at 7.30pm. Next Sunday, it’s a top-of-the-table clash as current leaders Manchester United visit our home with a 12.30pm start time.
