The Blues host Rehanne Skinner’s side at Kingsmeadow tomorrow (Sunday), kicking off at 2pm (UK time).

Emma Hayes’ squad have just returned from their US tour in Portland, Oregon where they took part in two fixtures as part of the Women’s International Champions Cup. The Blues lost out to Olympique Lyonnais on penalties following a closely contested opening match. They then went on to finish the tour on a high, beating hosts Portland Thorns at Providence Park.Spurs have also been on tour in the US, featuring in the Women’s Cup. They played two matches, losing to Club America and Tokyo Verdy at the Lynne Family Stadium, Louisville.

Recent head-to-head record

Last season the Blues faced Spurs twice in just four days in April following initial postponements with the Blues coming out victorious in both.

Next up

Many of the players will head on international duty straight after the friendly on Sunday. On their return, our first WSL match of the season will take place at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 11 September, where we’ll also be celebrating Chelsea Women’s 30-year anniversary and 10 years of Emma Hayes.
