Over 1000 Club Chelsea attendees filled the Great Hall at Stamford Bridge yesterday evening, a venue that was kitted with a VR penalty shoot-out, living statues and a replica press room.
Twelve of Chelsea men’s and women’s prized trophies were on display, giving guests a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have their photo taken with alongside pieces from Chelsea’s victorious history.
Chelsea Football Club director Jonathan Goldstein and president of business Tom Glick took to the stage to provide a positive look into the future, giving the audience exciting business updates.
Graham Potter also rallied the crowd with his thoughts on the upcoming Champions League quarter-final. With Cesar Azpilicueta by his side, the room was bustling with excitement and positivity for the next steps in the team’s journey. Emma Hayes talked passionately about her team’s stratospheric rise to the top. With Chelsea Women on track for the treble, captain Magda Eriksson gave insight into her personal journey at Chelsea and her excitement for what is to come.
The evening was strongly focused on ‘giving back’ and as a result, a raffle was held to benefit the incredible Chelsea Foundation. Chelsea FC is immensely proud of the work undertaken by the Foundation, and this week’s Games For Equality, forming part of the No To Hate campaign - promoting equality, diversity and inclusion across football and beyond.
Among the magnificent raffle prizes were signed merchandise, visits to the training ground and the incredible chance to be a part of both the men’s and women’s team photo. Patrons jumped at the chance to win these otherwise unobtainable experiences and raised a remarkable £15,000 in just two hours. This will have an untold impact on the Foundation, and we would like to take the opportunity to thank our valued guests for their generosity.
Club Chelsea members are woven into the fabric of Chelsea FC and the club was delighted to host so many of you for such an enjoyable evening.
