Cole Palmer has been named the 2024 Men’s Player of the Year at the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) Awards.

With more than a quarter-of-a-million votes cast, the FSA Awards are the largest supporter-led awards in the country.

Palmer topped the fans’ vote for the men’s prize by a clear distance, becoming the first Chelsea player to land the award in the process. He beat off competition from Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Rodri, as well as Bukayo Saka, Ollie Watkins and three-time winner Mohamed Salah.

‘Thank you to everyone who voted for me,’ Palmer said.

‘It’s an honour to be the first Chelsea player to win this award.’

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, the only Chelsea player to reach 30 Premier League goals for us quicker than Palmer has managed, collected the award on our attacker’s behalf.

It marks another feather in the cap for Palmer. Earlier this year he was named the PFA Young Player of the Year, Premier League Young Player of the Year, the England Player of the Year and, of course, the Chelsea Player and Players’ Player of the Year. He has continued that form into this season with eight league goals already, including a mesmerising first-half quartet against Brighton back in September.

Congratulations, Cole!
