Cole Palmer has been named the 2023/24 England Men’s Player of the Year!

With voting undertaken by Three Lions' supporters, Cole finished ahead of Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, who placed second and third respectively.

The award is further recognition of the 22-year-old's influential and decisive performances for club and country since the start of last season.

Palmer netted 25 goals for the Blues during the 2023/24 campaign – and that form helped him win a first England cap in a 2-0 win against Malta at Wembley in November 2023.

He has gone on to win eight further caps for the Three Lions, five of which came at this summer's European Championship.

Despite not starting a game, Cole claimed the assist for Ollie Watkins' semi-final winner against the Netherlands and then netted England's goal in the final, which ended in a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat to Spain.

Our last winner of the award was Ashley Cole in 2011 while Frank Lampard claimed the honour in 2004 and 2005.

Congratulations, Cole!
