Cole Palmer has received his second award of the week, with the Chelsea star named Premier League Player of the Month for September.
The Blues forward, named England Men's Player of the Year on Tuesday, was one of eight players nominated for the Premier League honour after four hugely impressive performances.
The 22-year-old was the top flight’s highest scorer last month, with an impressive five goals and an assist claimed in the competition.
Palmer began September by setting up Nicolas Jackson’s opener in our draw with Crystal Palace. He then got on the score sheet himself to complete our 3-0 win at West Ham United
However, the England international's best was saved for last, when he ended the month with a stunning performance to help us beat Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer struck all four of our goals, including a trademark ice-cold penalty, a stunning free-kick, and a clever first-time finish.
His hat-trick was completed in just 10 minutes and all four goals came in the opening period, making him the only player ever to score four times before half-time in a Premier League match.
Palmer picks up the award for the second time with Chelsea – the other being in April – and adds it to the Premier League Goal of the Month trophy he received in August for his stunning lob against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Congratulations Cole!
