Cole Palmer’s brilliant September for Chelsea has been recognised with a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

Vote for Palmer

Palmer scored a league-high five goals in his four appearances, as well as registering an assist in the draw with Crystal Palace at the start of the month.

But it was his contributions in September’s final game that really caught the eye, as the 22-year-old made history by becoming the first player to net four goals in the first half of a Premier League game.

His quartet included a sensational free-kick, as well as an assured first-time finish at the near post that had echoes of his strike away to West Ham a week earlier.

Palmer’s brilliance helped the Blues pick up three wins and a draw from our four September games, climbing the embryonic league table in the process. His performances have gleaned praise from all corners, and rightly so.

You can vote for Palmer to win the award here, with the victor announced next Friday 11 October.

Palmer, who won the award back in April, is up against Harvey Barnes (Newcastle), Gabriel (Arsenal), Raul Jimenez (Fulham), Dwight McNeil (Everton), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Luis Diaz and Ryan Gravenberch (both Liverpool).
