Emma Hayes has made two changes to her Chelsea Women team for tonight's Champions League tie against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge.
Hannah Hampton retains her place between the posts from the weekend's 3-1 victory over Manchester United in the Women's Super League, which was also played at Stamford Bridge.
The first change comes ahead of her, as Jess Carter replaces Nathalie Bjorn alongside Kadeisha Buchanan in the centre of our defence, with the new signing ineligible to feature for the Blues in Europe after joining us from Everton this month. Full-backs Ashley Lawrence and Niamh Charles both continue.
Erin Cuthbert captains the side tonight, next to Melanie Leupolz in midfield, while Fran Kirby comes in for Lauren James in support of striker Mia Fishel. Guro Reiten and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd continue on the wings.
Chelsea: Hampton, Lawrence, Buchanan, Carter, Charles, Cuthbert (c), Leupolz, Rytting Kaneryd, Kirby, Reiten, Fishel
Substitutes: Musovic, Mjelde, Perisset, Ingle, Nusken, Cankovic, James, Beever-Jones
