Xabi Alonso has made two changes to his Chelsea side for this evening's Premier League meeting with Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.

After defeating Bournemouth and then Everton, the Blues are targeting a third consecutive top-flight win – and an unprecedented seventh in the Premier League over Spurs.

One change to the Chelsea starting XI was always going to be required, with Emi Martinez sidelined after undergoing jaw surgery following our win at Everton.

Mike Penders comes into the side for his first Premier League start, and Alonso has also made one further alteration.

Josh Acheampong, Maxence Lacroix, Levi Colwill and Jorrel Hato all continue in what is expected to be a back four, while Moises Caicedo captains the side and partners Jordan Henderson in midfield.

Pedro Neto, who netted twice last time out, starts once more in an attack that also includes Cole Palmer, Geovany Quenda and Morgan Rogers. Joao Pedro is not in the match-day squad.

Chelsea: Penders; Acheampong, Lacroix, Colwill, Hato; Caicedo (c), Henderson; Neto, Palmer, Quenda; Rogers

Chelsea substitutes: Sharman-Lowe, Gusto, Palestra, Fofana, Barco, Nicoll-Jazuli, Lavia, Estevao, Welbeck
