Keira Walsh is set to make her full Chelsea debut this evening with Sonia Bompastor making five changes to the starting XI for our League Cup semi-final against West Ham United.
The Blues head coach has made five alterations following Sunday's Women's Super League win against Aston Villa, with Walsh, Sjoeke Nusken, Maika Hamano, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and Mayra Ramirez all introduced to the starting line-up at Kingsmeadow.
Hannah Hampton will start in goal and will be protected by an unchanged defence of Ashley Lawrence, captain Millie Bright, Nathalie Bjorn and Niamh Charles.
After making her first appearance for the Blues late on from the bench at Villa Park, Walsh has been handed her first start and will feature in midfield alongside Nusken, who returns to the XI.
Our attacking options in Kingston will include Guro Reiten and Rytting Kaneryd down the flanks, Hamano in a central role while Ramirez is expected to lead the line.
Chelsea XI: Hampton; Lawrence, Bright, Bjorn, Charles, Walsh, Nusken, Reiten, Hamano, Rytting Kaneryd, Ramirez
Chelsea substitutes: Liefting, Mpome, Brown, Kaptein, Jean-Francois, Cuthbert, Macario, James, Beever-Jones
