Chelsea FC legend Carlo Cudicini visited St Mary’s University to speak to students on the Chelsea FC Foundation Coaching and Development Degree.
Cudicini delivered an inspiring presentation, discussing his journey through football from playing to coaching and his current role as loan technical coach at Chelsea FC.
The students had the opportunity to ask Carlo questions, and the former Chelsea goalkeeper also provided some valuable advice on building a career in the football industry. Carlo spoke openly about the challenges he has faced in his career and highlighted the importance of being proactive and looking for opportunities.
Conal Murnin, project officer at Chelsea Foundation, said: ‘It was fantastic to welcome Carlo Cudicini to St Mary’s University to speak to our students. Carlo was extremely engaging and provided valuable insight and advice to the students. We are proud to provide students with opportunities to hear from experienced industry experts like Carlo to help support their development.’

Chelsea FC Foundation Coaching and Development Degree is a unique partnership between Chelsea FC Foundation and St Mary’s University. Students study a variety of modules, developing an in-depth understanding of the football industry across coaching, performance analysis, project management and social change.
