Chelsea Under-21s are competing once again in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, with the young Blues taking on Group C in the first round of this year’s tournament.

This competition invites 16 Under-21s sides from Premier League clubs with Category One academies to join the 48 senior teams from League One and League Two. The groups are split into northern and southern sections, each with eight groups.

Chelsea have been drawn to play Bromley, Cambridge United and Charlton Athletic in Group C of this season's competition.

The four teams in the group will play against each other once, with all three of Chelsea's matches being away from home, as the Under-21s team in the group. The top two teams will then progress to the second round, which is the beginning of the knockout stage.

Our first scheduled EFL Trophy fixture is on Tuesday 24 September against Bromley at Haynes Lane, kicking off at 7pm. After that, we will play against Charlton at The Valley on Tuesday 29 October at 7pm.

Finally, the last group stage fixture will be on Tuesday 5 November, against Cambridge United at the Abbey Stadium, also with a 7pm kick-off time.
