Emily Orman has departed Chelsea having completed a move to London City Lionesses of the Women’s Championship.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper leaves the Blues having been at the club since she was 16. Ahead of the 2021/22 season, she signed her first professional contract at Chelsea having spent the majority of the previous campaign training with the first team.

A loan spell with Crystal Palace saw Orman help the Eagles finish an impressive fourth in the Championship in 2021/22. She returned to the Blues and spent the following campaign with the first team squad, claiming a Women’s Super League and FA Cup winners’ medal.

Last season, Orman – who has represented England from Under-14s to Under-19s level – was loaned out to then Championship side Reading, where she made 18 appearances and kept five clean sheets.

Everyone at Chelsea would like to thank Emily for her contributions during her time at the club and we wish her every success for the future.
