Mauricio Pochettino has provided a further update on the condition of Enzo Fernandez after the midfielder was substituted during the first half of the Carabao Cup quarter-final victory over Newcastle.
Despite the early change during the cup tie, Pochettino is hopeful that the Argentine's condition isn't too serious and that he will be able to return swiftly to matchday action.
Speaking to the media, the Blues boss confirmed the midfielder's injury and what to expect from the length of his lay-off.
‘Enzo is going to be out for the game against Wolverhampton,’ Pochettino said.
‘We will see if he can be involved again as soon as possible. We already have information that it was a hernia and he also didn’t feel well [during the game].
‘He will have treatment with the doctor and of course, he is not going to be a problem. He will be as soon as possible with the group.’
