Enzo Maresca has confirmed that four players will be assessed ahead of Monday night’s home clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Blues welcome Wolves to Stamford Bridge looking to return to winning ways and complete a Premier League double over the Old Gold following our impressive 6-2 victory at Molineux earlier this term.

And to the media at his pre-match press conference on Friday, our Italian head coach confirmed Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Levi Colwill and Romeo Lavia will all be monitored ahead of the fixture due to nursing slight knocks.

‘We were without Cole today, he was not in the session,' Maresca stated from the media room at Cobham. 'Levi was also not in the session today, Enzo wasn’t in the session today, Romeo wasn’t in the session today. So we have three or four players who are doubts for Monday’s game because of the last game.

‘Cole had a kick in the ankle in the first half [against Bournemouth]. He didn’t train today and we don’t know if we’ll train tomorrow or in two days. It’s the same situation with Enzo, Levi and Romeo.’

One player who has returned to Chelsea this week is Trevoh Chalobah, and centre-back is available for Monday night’s game against Wolves having been recalled from a loan spell at Crystal Palace.

Maresca is pleased to have the versatile defender available and believes he can fit seamlessly back into life at Cobham.

‘It was quite an easy process [to recall Chalobah],’ our head coach said of the decision to bring back Trevoh.

'We have a few injuries, as you know, so we were looking for a solution and we thought the best solution would be to call back Trev. Firstly, because we know him very well and secondly because we know he can help us. So we went for that solution.’

‘He knows the house better than me! First of all, he was very happy, I could see his face and I had a chat with him a few days ago and again this morning. You can see he is happy and we are happy that he is here.’
