Enzo Maresca has been rewarded with the Premier League Manager of the Month award for September after guiding Chelsea to an impressive run of results.

The Italian saw off competition from four other nominees to be voted as the Premier League’s standout head coach in September, having led us through an undefeated month in the top flight.

The Blues dropped just two points during last month, which began with a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace. After that, we won three matches in a row to take maximum points from our remaining games last month.

That run started when we continued our excellent away form at Bournemouth before an impressive 3-0 demolition of West Ham United at the London Stadium.

The month concluded with us coming out on top in a six-goal thriller against Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge.

After an impressive month which saw Chelsea claim 10 points from a maximum of 12 while scoring nine goals in four games, the public chose Maresca as the Premier League’s best manager in September.

He joins Cole Palmer, who was announced as Premier League Player of the Month earlier today.

Congratulations Enzo!
