Enzo Maresca confirmed he expects Joao Felix and Romeo Lavia to return to action next week.
Joao Felix missed our long trip to face Astana midweek and was also forced to sit out tonight's 2-1 win over Brentford in the Premier League.
However, Maresca confirmed after victory over the Bees that he is expecting the Portugal international to be available for Thursday's Conference League game with Shamrock Rovers.
Lavia is another player who had to miss Sunday's London derby at Stamford Bridge due to injury. The midfielder will not be involved on Thursday as he is not registered for this stage of the Conference League but he should be back for next Sunday's trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton.
'We had Joao and Romeo that probably can be available for the next one,' Maresca confirmed.
‘Carney [Chukwuemeka] after Astana was ill, Chilly (Ben Chilwell) was ill. Pedro [Neto] was suspended and then we had Reece [James] and Wes [Fofana] injured, and unfortunately during the session yesterday, Benoit [Badiashile] felt something, and Misha [Mudryk] is out too.'
Maresca also spoke about Lavia and Badiashile during his brief pre-match interview this afternoon, after the pair were two of three players - along with the suspended Pedro Neto - who were included in last weekend's 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur but missed out today.
He said: ‘Benoit had a problem yesterday during the session. For now, we do not know how long he will be out for. As for Romeo, he can be available for the next game.'
