Our bid to retain the Adobe Women’s FA Cup continues when we travel to Everton for the quarter-finals at Walton Hall Park on Sunday afternoon.

We have made an impressive start to a hectic month across four competitions, preserving our place at the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League table and progressing to the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final.

With two games down and six more to go this month, the Blues next assignment sees us return to FA Cup action where Everton are the opponents on Merseyside, which will play host to a third meeting between the two teams this season.

It took patience and perseverance to overcome West Ham United and Crystal Palace to reach this stage, which presents us with our first away trip in the competition this season, where we hope to take another step closer to the showpiece Wembley final.

When and where?

We make the journey to Walton Hall Park to take on Everton this Sunday 10 March, with kick-off scheduled for 1.00pm (UK time).

The form

On route to the quarter-final stage, we have faced resilient WSL and Championship opposition on home soil at the fourth and fifth round respectively – both ties pitted us against fellow London outfits in the shape of West Ham and Crystal Palace.

At the fourth round, extra-time was required to see off the Hammers at Kingsmeadow. Viviane Asseyi gave the visitors the lead inside 20 minutes before Mia Fishel, Erin Cuthbert and Aggie Beever-Jones turned the tie on its head.

Mayra Ramirez opened her account for the Blues with a goal which helped us edge out Crystal Palace on home soil. With the possibility of extra-time looming once more, the Colombian produced moment of magic to setup a quarter-final tie with the Toffees.

Everton have enjoyed convincing victories to reach the quarter-final stage. They began their FA Cup journey with a 3-0 victory away to Aston Villa, which set up a trip to Nottingham Forest where they struck seven in order to progress.

Everton vs. Chelsea recent head-to-head record

Goals from Jessie Fleming, Sam Kerr and Beever-Jones secured all three points on our previous visit to Merseyside on a wet and windy afternoon in November.

In the reverse fixture at Kingsmeadow last month, Cuthbert added to a pair of penalties from Guro Reiten to help maintain a three-point lead at the top of the table at the time.

Next up for the Blues
