What was your first match at the Bridge and what do you remember about it?

Stefano: My first game at Stamford Bridge was Chelsea vs Luton (August, 1987). We won 3-0 I think.

I was 16 years old and was visiting London for the first time as a present for me and my brother. We went to the game and ever since that moment, Chelsea has been in my blood.

In 1996 I founded the "Chelsea Italia" club, of which I am still proudly honorary president, and for which I thank all the Italian members for the splendid work they do every year - and for their loyalty to the club.

Who is your favourite all-time player?

Stefano:Oh that's easy,Gianfranco Zola. No surprise to hear that from a fellow Italian, I'm sure!

What about the current squad, who is your favourite player?

Stefano: Marc Cucurella. I love the passion he shows in each game.

Any standout memories from the Bridge?

Stefano: Yes, I have a few! The victories against Napoli in 2012 and any win against West Ham and Spurs!

Any pre-match superstitions or rituals?

Stefano: I like to have a few beers with my English friends Carol and Peter in the pub before each game I go to. They are both season ticket holders and have been since... well, a long time ago!

Do you have a favourite chant?

Stefano: I do, Carefree

What is your message to Enzo Maresca and the boys for our first games - first Inter on Sunday and then our Premier League opener against City?

Stefano: In Italian: ‘Enzo, benvenuto al Chelsea. Noi Blues Italiani siamo orgogliosi di averti come nostro allenatore. Rendici ancora più orgogliosi!’

That roughly translates to: Enzo, welcome to Chelsea. We Italian Blues are proud to have you as our coach. Make us even more proud!'
