The draw for the Carabao Cup third round takes place on Wednesday 24 August at around 9.45pm, or following the conclusion of the televised Tranmere vs Newcastle second round tie, one of four games tonight.
When is the Carabao Cup third round?
Usually held in late September, this year the Carabao Cup third round will take place in the week commencing 7 November. That is because the Champions League is starting earlier owing to the unusual timing of the World Cup this winter.
