Due to our European commitments, the Blues entered the competition at the quarter-final stage, where we saw off Sunderland of the Barclays Women’s Championship by five goals to nil at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday evening.
Aggie Beever-Jones' thunderbolt added to respective braces from Sjoeke Nusken and Fran Kirby which helped secure our place in the draw for the semi-finals, as we continue our quest for a third League Cup triumph.
We will learn our semi-final opponents when the draw is carried out at 6.30pm (UK time) tomorrow (Friday 9 February). Supporters can tune in to see the draw play out in full and this will be broadcast live during BBC News’ SportsDay show.
The semi-final ties will be played across Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 March, with exact details of our fixture to be communicated in due course.
