Chelsea Under-18s will travel away to face Manchester United in the fifth round of this season's FA Youth Cup.

The Blues had already booked our place in the last 16 with a comfortable 7-1 victory over non-league Merstham on Wednesday evening, when Shumaira Mheuka set us on our way with a hat-trick, being joined on the scoresheet by Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, Leo Cardoso, Reggie Walsh and Chizaram Ezenwata.

We had to wait until tonight's matches were completed to learn the identity of our next opponents, who have now been confirmed as Manchester United, following their 5-2 home win over Preston North End on Friday.

The fixture will bring together the two most successful clubs in the history of the FA Youth Cup, with Man Utd having lifted academy football's most prestigious trophy on a record 11 occasions, while Chelsea are just behind them with nine victories, the most recent in 2018.

Chelsea will be away from home in the next round, which is scheduled to be played by Saturday 8 February. The exact date and further details will be announced in due course.
