Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce a new multi-year agreement with FansMall which will see China’s largest sports trading card platform become our Official Trading Card & Sports Collectibles Partner in Greater China.
As part of this partnership, FansMall will create a collection of Chelsea-themed trading cards for the Greater China market and provide access for our Chinese fans to exclusive merchandise, including signed memorabilia and match-worn shirts.
FansMall will also gain greater visibility with the club’s Chinese fans by being featured on the Chinese New Year episode of the Chelsea Studio Show, our flagship match-day programme, ahead of the Premier League game against Fulham on Friday 3 February.
‘FansMall is honoured and delighted to establish a long-term partnership with Chelsea FC, one of the most respected and beloved football clubs in China with a winning culture and a fine tradition of success,’ said FansMall founder Sebastian Zhao.
‘As the club’s Official Trading Card & Sports Collectibles Partner in Greater China, FansMall is dedicated to bringing the best trading card collectibles to fans and collectors and we will release an exclusive selection of Chelsea trading card products for this season and the seasons to come.’
‘We are delighted to welcome FansMall as our Official Trading Card & Sports Collectibles Partner in the Greater China region,’ said Tom Glick, president of business, Chelsea Football Club.
‘FansMall is a fantastic addition to our family of partners at Chelsea FC and we look forward to working closely with them and introducing our fans in Greater China to their highly impressive range of exclusive Chelsea-theme cards and collectibles.’
Chelsea has built a strong presence in Greater China in recent years, led by the club’s regional Asian headquarters in Singapore. The club has played pre-season matches in Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau, produced an award-winning studio show and engaged directly with our fans through social media platforms including Weibo, Douyin and Kuaishou.
As a result of these efforts, Chelsea is currently the most-followed European football club online in China with 15 million followers. The Chelsea Studio Show is the most engaged football livestream in China with average viewership of 16.5 million and the Blues are the most engaged Premier League club in China on Weibo and Douyin in the 2022/23 season.
