Chelsea’s visit to the United States this summer continues to take shape with the announcement today of two of the matches our men’s team will play.
It was confirmed last week that the Blues will build up to next season with a tour stateside for a third consecutive year and as we did in 2023, we will take on Wrexham in one of the games.
Club America are the other opponents confirmed today. The Mexican side, who are their nation’s most successful club, have three times previously been the opposition in games during our pre-season visits to the States.
The Wrexham fixture will take place on Wednesday 24 July at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
A week later, on Wednesday 31 July, Chelsea play Club America in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
Chelsea chief executive Chris Jurasek said: ‘It is great to be playing Wrexham once again, following the success of last year’s encounter in Chapel Hill. We look forward to playing in front of our loyal supporters based in California at the Levi’s Stadium, which is sure to create a wonderful atmosphere.
‘We are also really excited to be returning to Atlanta this summer as part of our pre-season tour. Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a truly remarkable venue, and we cannot wait to play there again in front of our US fanbase when we come up against Club America.’
