Cole Palmer has been shortlisted for the 2024 Men's Ballon d'Or while Lucy Bronze, Sjoeke Nusken, Lauren James and Mayra Ramirez have been nominated for the Women's award.

Palmer enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign at Stamford Bridge following his move from Manchester City last September.

The 22-year-old scored 23 goals and registered 11 assists for the Blues in the Premier League last season, earned his place in the England squad for the European Championship, and scored for the Three Lions in the final against Spain.

He has continued to impress during the early weeks of the current campaign, with four assists and a goal to his name in our opening four top-flight fixtures.

Meanwhile, nominated for the Women's honour are three of our Women's Super League title winners from last season.

Nusken, who joined the Blues in June 2023 from Eintracht Frankfurt, featured in 21 of our 22 WSL fixtures last term and played several different roles, including centre-back, central midfield and centre forward.

Her versatility was invaluable and this summer she helped Germany claim a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.

James also played a pivotal role in our fourth consecutive WSL crown. She scored 13 goals and claimed two assists in 16 league appearances – and contributed to two further goals on our run to the UEFA Women's Champions League semi-finals.

Ramirez joined Chelsea in January from Levante and needed little time to adapt to her new surroundings.

The 25-year-old striker scored five goals in nine appearances across all competitions and was outstanding as we clinched the WSL title away at Manchester United.

Bronze signed for the Blues this summer and is nominated after a 2023/24 season with Barcelona in which she won the Spanish title and lifted the UEFA Women's Champions League.

It's not just the achievements of players that have been recognised. Sonia Bompastor has been nominated as Women's team Coach of the Year – as has former Blues manager Emma Hayes, who led us to last season's WSL triumph.

Finally, Chelsea have been shortlisted for the Women's Club of the Year trophy.

The awards ceremony will take place on Monday 28 October in Paris, where the winners will be revealed.

Congratulations, all!
