Preparations are well under way in training at Cobham ahead of Saturdays match against West Ham United, when Chelsea are hoping to continue our 100 per cent away record in this season's Premier League.

With two days left before our second consecutive away trip in the Premier League, when we visit the London Stadium to take on West Ham in Saturday's early kick-off, the Blues were out on the training pitch at Cobham.

Preparations are well under way for our next fixture and Enzo Maresca had almost a full squad to work with on Thursday, as Malo Gusto, Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall continue to work towards their return, after missing last week's 1-0 win at Bournemouth.

Several of those who were involved at the Vitality Stadium were out on the pitch at Cobham ahead of the West Ham tie, hoping to continue the progress which has resulted in consecutive Premier League away wins by making it three in a row on the road in east London.

‘I’m really happy with the team,' said Sanchez, hero of the Bournemouth victory with a strong of big saves, including one to keep out Evanilson's penalty.

'We are improving game by game, session by session, and we can go to the highest which is what we believe we can do, and this is what we are going to try and do.’

Also involved in training on Thursday was Jadon Sancho. Having made his debut off the bench at Bournemouth - contributing the assist for Christopher Nkunku's winning goal - the deadline-day signing is continuing to work on gelling with his new team-mates ahead of a possible full Chelsea debut.

‘It was amazing to make my debut for Chelsea and just be back playing. I am very grateful. I have been working hard for that moment and I am happy that I got my chance,' said Sancho.

‘I have to say thank you to all the staff and all my team-mates. From the first day I came in, they have made me feel welcome and I want to thank them for making me feel this comfortable.’

With Sancho adding to the wealth of attacking options for Maresca to work with, there is plenty of competition for places in that area, something which can only drive performance in matches and on the training pitch.

‘We are in a big club and have big players,’ said Nkunku. ‘It is competitive in every position and we just need to work hard in every training session and in every game.’
