With our next Premier League fixture not until Monday, Enzo Maresca has the chance to spend some quality time with his players over the next five days.

It was a chance to reset and refresh following last night's drama, when a late strike by Reece James in the fifth added minute earned us a draw with Bournemouth, after the Cherries had fought back following Cole Palmer's opening goal.

Having been introduced from the bench for his first Premier League appearance in two months, James was one of the few players in action on the pitch at the Bridge last night and again at Cobham today.

‘It was a great feeling to score and to score at home,’ reflected our captain, after that 2-2 Premier League draw.

‘I wanted to help the team get some points in a difficult game. Injuries can happen at any time. There are many highs and many lows. I just hope I can stay healthy now.

‘I saw the free-kick was close to the goal and I thought I saw a gap. I just tried to aim for that corner. The goal meant a lot and we’d rather take one point than none, even though we might’ve got three.'

For those involved for the majority of that game against Bournemouth, Wednesday was a day of recovery, shaking those exertions out of their legs to be ready to go again for the next one, when we are back in Premier League action at the Bridge, with Wolverhampton Wanderers the visitors this coming Monday evening.

For the rest of Enzo Maresca's squad, preparations for that meeting with Wolves are already underway, as they were out on the training pitch at Cobham being put through their paces by our head coach and his staff.

Chelsea versus Wolves will kick off at 8pm on Monday and will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK, and will be broadcast by local Premier League TV rights holders in other countries.

We will have the full match available on our official website and app from midnight on Monday and you can also follow the action as it happens on both of our platforms in the Chelsea vs Wolves Match Centre, with live audio commentary plus minute-by-minute text updates.
