In the penultimate training session before facing Liverpool, Enzo Maresca had his entire squad out on the pitch at Cobham and available for Sunday's match as Premier League preparations stepped up.

Earlier in the day, in his pre-match press conference, Maresca had already confirmed that there are no outstanding injury concerns within his squad ahead of Sunday's Premier League trip to Anfield to take on leaders Liverpool, with the only players unavailable for that match being suspended defenders Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella.

That means for the first time since joining Chelsea in the summer, our head coach had every single member of his squad together to work with on the training pitch at Cobham for Friday's session.

That follows the return of captain Reece James during the international break, although it remains to be seen how much of a part our skipper might be able to play at Anfield as Enzo takes a cautious approach to his reintegration.

'Finally we are all available,' said Maresca. 'So we have all the squad available apart from the suspended ones.

'Reece is available, finally he is back. He worked with us all through the international break. It’s good news, especially for him, because being injured is not a good feeling.

'It’s always complicated when you get injured again and again, so you’re always looking for a solution. Probably the solution with Reece is the same solution we have been using with Romeo and Wes, using them just once a week, one game, because probably in this moment for different reasons Reece’s body cannot play twice a week.'

'But for now the most important thing for Reece is that finally he is fit and we will see now the way we are going to use him. Fortunately we have many players who are versatile and they can play in difference positions.'

Maresca also explained why he spends so much time working one-on-one with individual players after the team training session has concluded, while discussing the recent form of Moises Caicedo and Jadon Sancho.

'I really believe that to improve as a team you need to improve the players. We are trying, not only with Moi but with all the players, to dedicate time to spend time with them for extra work almost every day. At the end of the session we keep players for extra work and Moi is one of those players.

'So we are happy with the way he is playing. We didn’t have any doubt about him as a player or as a person and we are very happy with the way he is playing in this moment.

'Jadon is doing well, the only thing he needs to do is to continue in the same way, working hard every day.

'As I’ve said many times, for sure he is going to help us because we really believe he is a special player, but the only way to confirm that is to work hard every day and to never be happy, in terms of always being ambitious, wanting more and more and more.'

There is one more day remaining for that hard work and one-on-one time with the players before Sunday's trip to Anfield, when the Blues will be looking to continue our excellent away form, with three wins out of three on the road in the Premier League so far this season.
