The Chelsea squad braved the elements at a wet and windy Cobham this morning to put the finishing touches on our preparations for tomorrow's FA Cup tie against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Cold weather and the occasional flurry of hailstones greeted the Blues players as they made their way out onto the grass at Cobham, but that didn't put a dampener on the session that took place under the watchful eye of head coach Enzo Maresca.

Tomorrow's game is the first of back-to-back trips to the Amex Stadium to face the Seagulls; we will also make the relatively short journey down to the south coast for Premier League action next Friday.

However, the squad's focus is firmly on cup action this weekend with a place in the fifth round of the world's oldest club competition up for grabs.

Among those working hard on the training pitches Cobham today was Christopher Nkunku, who Maresca has indicated will play an important role during the remainder of the campaign.

‘Yes, for sure,' Maresca replied when asked whether the France international would feature more regularly in the weeks ahead.

'I spoke last week already about Christo. Probably against West Ham, he played more or less half an hour and hopefully from now on he can get more minutes and help us.’

Nkunku and those available all looked in good shape as they made their final preparations at Cobham, with all eyes now firmly fixed on progression to the fifth round.

Chelsea take on Brighton at the American Express Stadium in the FA Cup fourth round tomorrow, with kick-off at 8pm.

Supporters in the UK can watch the game live on ITV, and we will be providing minute-by-minute updates of all the action, reaction and build-up in our Brighton & Hove Albion vs Chelsea Match Centre.
