There's no time for the Blues to let off the gas and enjoy last night's victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, as the squad were straight back at Cobham to resume training today, resetting ahead of our next Premier League fixture against Manchester City.

Chelsea picked up our first Premier League win of 2025 at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening. Tosin Adarabioyo set us on our way with the opening goal, and even a Wolves equaliser right on the brink of half-time couldn't derail our efforts, as Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke found the net to secure the three points in the second half.

‘It is very important to win always but especially after five games without a win,' said head coach Enzo Maresca.

'It was not easy. Again, we scored first and then they drew level but the reaction was much, much better.

‘In the second half, we again controlled the game, we scored twice, we could have scored more, and we are happy with the three points.

'I think in the five games where we didn’t win, the performance was always there. The problem has been in the box where we could have been a little more clinical. Last night it was important that we won the game.'

That was just the first of two league outings for Maresca and his squad this week, though, and thoughts are already shifting ahead to that away trip to take on his former club Manchester City in Saturday evening's kick-off.

Many of those involved in the win over Wolves focused on recovery in the gym, before being ready to go again for Man City, while the rest were out on the training pitch as preparations for the next game got under way.

Saturday's match will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK and will be available via local Premier League TV rights holders in other countries.
