The Frenchman joined the Blues on a seven-year deal from Leicester City this week and the defender has now confirmed what number he will wear in Chelsea blue.

He wore the No.3 shirt both at the Foxes during his time in the East Midlands and also when playing for Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne, where he started his senior career.

Fofana could make his Chelsea debut on Saturday as London rivals West Ham United visit Stamford Bridge.
