Fofana has played two sets of 90 minutes for Leicester City so far this season, both coming in the opening two fixtures of the campaign.

Wesley joins his compatriot N’Golo Kante, who also signed from Leicester, within the Chelsea ranks, though the midfielder is currently nursing a hamstring injury and is not taking part in training sessions.

The defender now has three days on the Cobham training field ahead of a potential Blues debut in the Premier League against West Ham United on Saturday.
