Summer signing Romeo Lavia is settling into life well at our Cobham training base, and despite not quite being ready to make his Blues bow just yet, has been in high spirits since arriving from Southampton.

The Belgian arrived from the Saints six days ago now, however the midfielder has not yet featured so far in the 2023/24 campaign.

Unfortunately he will not make his debut on Friday night against Luton Town, Pochettino has confirmed.

‘With Lavia, no he is not quite ready yet. I think he still needs a few weeks before he will be involved with the team.

‘He’s conditioning now and he’s working hard to catch up with the rest of the team. With Romeo we need to wait a couple of weeks before he’s ready to be ready with the team.'
