Chelsea Women’s Guro Reiten has been nominated for the Barclays FA Women’s Super League Player of the Month award for November having been influential in our impressive run of form.
We have shown flair in attack and defensive solidity with Reiten, a consistently bright spark in our attacking ranks, contributing one goal and one assist which helped propel us to the top of the league table to close out November.
The Norwegian netted her first goal of the season in the 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge, converting our third goal of the afternoon from the penalty spot in front of the Matthew Harding Stand.
Reiten’s creativity has shone through, and the wide player sits joint-top of the assist charts with five, having been involved in 10 of our league goals this season, proving a constant threat to opposition defences from her wide-left position.
She goes up against Danielle Carter (Brighton & Hove Albion), Rachel Daly (Aston Villa), Melissa Lawley (Liverpool), Frida Maanum (Arsenal), Khadija Shaw (Manchester City) and Katie Zelem (Manchester United), with the winner to be announced in due course.
Voting for Player of the Month is now open and will close at 10am on Monday.
