Malo Gusto believes the performances that have earned Chelsea four consecutive Premier League victories have showcased the talent and potential within Mauricio Pochettino's squad.

Gusto returned to our starting line-up for the 2-1 win, which moved us up to sixth in the Premier League table and boosted our hopes of securing European football for next season.

The Frenchman was integral to our second goal on the south coast, bursting down the right flank before his pass into the box enabled fellow countryman Christopher Nkunku the chance to finish.

With just one game remaining of his first season in England, Gusto reflected on his performances over the last ten months.

‘I just try to improve and learn more game after game,' he said. 'I’m very happy to show this type of performance today and I want to show this level all the time.

‘I go to the training ground every day and feel very happy to play for Chelsea and to have these teammates. I want to show my best every single day. We have improved more the last few games, we enjoy the game, want to stay all together and finish the season well.'

Our win at the Amex marked a fourth consecutive Premier League victory for the Blues, the time that has happened since October 2022.

And Gusto believes the form we have shown in recent weeks is testament to the potential in the squad.

'The win was very important for the team to keep in a good way and to try to reach Europe next season. The most important thing is to enjoy the game, stay together and focus on our job. That’s what we have done in the last few games.

‘We can be one of the best teams in the Premier League. We have a lot of talent, we know that.

'The start of the season was a little bit complicated, but we knew the most important thing was to finish in a good way. That’s what we did today.'
