Chelsea forward Maika Hamano came off the bench to score an 11-minute brace for the Japanese national team in a friendly win over New Zealand.

The 20-year-old entered the fray at half-time with her country trailing 1-0 to the Football Ferns, with the two sides meeting again in Murcia, Spain, only three days after Japan prevailed 2-0 winners at the same venue.

On Monday afternoon, Hamano pulled her side level in the 49th minute - minutes after coming onto the field - and scored her second on the hour mark to send Japan on their way to an eventual 4-1 win.

Her first goal was a stunning effort from outside the box which dropped into the bottom corner, and the second a superb finish from inside the area after latching onto a Yui Hasegawa long ball forward.

Aoba Fujino and substitute Remina Chiba were the other scorers for Japan, in the 66th and 80th minute respectively, while Milly Clegg netted the opener for New Zealand in the 22nd minute.

It means two wins from two for Japan this international break, with Hamano starring from the substitutes' bench in both victories.

Meanwhile, Mayra Ramirez started for Colombia and played 65 minutes as they beat Venezuela 3-0. The Colombia goals were scored by Catalina Usme, Manuela Pavi and Lady Andrade in the fourth, 45+4 and 81st minute, respectively.

It is also two wins from two for Ramirez, with Colombia beating the same opponents 2-0 at the weekend.
