As in any other city beware of pickpockets and bag snatchers at airports, railway stations, around the town centre and when using public transport.
In general, thefts of passports, wallets and handbags are common on metro systems and in crowded tourist places, particularly in city centres. Carry your valuables in different bags and pockets and keep a copy of your passport photo page somewhere safe.
