Unshakable belief coupled with undeniable quality ensured Chelsea overhauled a two-goal deficit to knock Manchester City out of the Women's Champions League and secure a semi-final spot.

Having been beaten in the first leg of our quarter-final tie, Sonia Bompastor's side needed a special performance at Stamford Bridge to progress to the last four. They more than delivered.

During a whirlwind opening 45 minutes, the Blues peppered the City goal. The pressure eventually paid off when Sandy Baltimore fired home the opener, and we drew level on aggregate through a powerful header from Nathalie Bjorn.

Shortly before the half-time interval, our lead in the tie was established when Mayra Ramirez guided home a pass from Lauren James. From then on, the Blues were in control and a place in the last four – and another date with Barcelona – was kept firmly in our grasp.

'The perfect night' was how Bompastor described our victory, and we have pulled together our favourite photos from a match that will live long in the memory of Blues supporters...
