Chelsea made it back-to-back victories in London derbies as Mauricio Pochettino's side ruthlessly dispatched West Ham United 5-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Less than 72 hours after walking off the pitch having dispatched Tottenham Hotspur, it was back to work for the Blues players. They certainly enjoyed their shift.
The deadlock was broken when Cole Palmer took advantage of a fortuitous break of the ball to sweep home and a second was soon added when Conor Gallagher rifled a volley into the corner from 12 yards.
Noni Madueke then added a third before the interval as he guided a Thiago Silva knock-down into the net from close range.
There were a couple of scares but in the second period, Pochettino's side added two further goals via Nicolas Jackson. His first was a simple tap-in after good work from Madueke while the second was a composed strike after the forward had broken through.
Our performance was impressive once moreĀ and ensured we moved into seventh in the Premier League table. The race for a European finish is very much on.
