A number of Blues were on the score sheet on Tuesday evening as they helped their respective countries to important victories.

Five of our players took another step closer to next summer's European Championships in Switzerland by winning their respective round one second leg play-off matches.

Following an emphatic 5-0 win away to Albania last week, Guro Reiten played 90 minutes and scored for Norway in the reverse fixture in Oslo. The 30-year-old netted her side's eighth from the penalty spot late on as her country claimed a 9-0 victory on the night, meaning a 14-0 scoreline on aggregate.

To secure their place at the next major tournament, Reiten and her Norwegian team-mates will have to see off Northern Ireland in the second round of the play-offs which will take place during the next international window in late November/early December.

Blues defender Nathalie Bjorn and winger Johanna Rytting Kaneryd both started in Sweden's resounding 8-0 win - 12-0 on aggregate - win over Luxembourg. The latter was on the score sheet again for her country, as she was on Friday night, netting their second goal after 11 minutes and also assisting another.

Her goal on Tuesday evening means Rytting Kaneryd, who featured for 76 minutes, has now scored five goals for club and country since the start of the season.

Sweden's victory - in which our goalkeeper Zecira Musovic was an unused substitute - means they will now face Serbia in the play-off second round.

Having helped Scotland take a 1-0 advantage to Edinburgh thanks to a narrow victory in Hungary on Friday night, Erin Cuthbert played 60 minutes and found the back of the net in the first half against the same opponents this evening.

Scotland went ahead at Easter Road after 17 minutes, before our midfielder netted a trademark Cuthbert wonder strike from just outside the box to double her country's lead just after the half-hour mark. Two more were added by the hosts meaning a 4-0 victory on the night - 5-0 on aggregate - which sets up a clash with Finland in the next stage.

Friendlies
