Lucy Bronze, Millie Bright, Aggie Beever-Jones and Keira Walsh all scored for England in a 5-0 UEFA Women's Nations League victory over Belgium at Ashton Gate, while Sandy Baltimore was on target for France during their win over Austria.

There were six Chelsea players in England boss Sarina Wiegman's starting line up, with the Lionesses head coach giving the nod to Hannah Hampton, Niamh Charles, Bright, Bronze, Walsh, and Lauren James.

The first goal was made in Chelsea, as a sublime ball from James was steered in by a clever diving header by Bronze – who was celebrating her 130th cap – on 21 minutes. The second was also all blue as our captain, Bright, bravely bundled a header home from close range after a Bronze flick on.

In the second half, Beever-Jones replaced James, and it wasn't long before she got in on the action by supplying a typical striker's finish from Beth Mead's cross to score her first goal in an England shirt.

Substitute Jess Park added a fourth, and then there was another special moment as the match drew to a close. Walsh scored her first for England after 83rd international appearances as her low drive from outside of the box was deflected in for England's fifth.

Meanwhile, in Switzerland, Baltimore continued her recent goalscoring form as she netted the opener for France with a straightforward finish from close range after Delphine Cascarino had played the ball across the face of goal from the right flank.

Selma Bacha added a second for Les Bleues just before half-time to keep their 100 per cent record intact that sees them sit at the top of Group A2.

It was a tough night for Erin Cuthbert as she came up against team-mate Sjoeke Nusken during Scotland's 4-0 defeat to Germany. Both Chelsea representatives played the full 90 minutes as goals from Elisa Sens, Cora Zikai and Lea Schuller, as well as an own goal from Sophie Howard, saw Germany finish the evening on top of Group A1.

Although still a teenager, midfielder Wieke Kaptein has become an important part of Andries Jonker's Netherlands side. She made the starting lineup for their 3-1 win over Austria before being replaced by Chasity Grant on 63 minutes.

Goals from Jackie Groenen, Damaris Egurrola, and a 76th-minute penalty from Sherida Spitse sealed the win for the Oranje, before Austria's Maria Plattner added a 95th-minute consolation goal.

Meanwhile, Nathalie Bjorn played the full 90 minutes for Sweden as they defeated Italy 3-2. Chelsea team-mate Johanna Rytting Kaneryd also featured for 82 minutes of the game before being replaced by Sofia Jakobsson.

It was an action-filled encounter, as Italy took the lead after just one minute, before Kosovare Asllani levelled the scores not long after half-time. Filippa Angeldal missed a penalty for Sweden on the hour mark, but then found the back of the net just 15 minutes later to put her side ahead.

Italy looked to have nicked a point when Michela Cambiaghi scored with six minutes to go, but Sweden were awarded a penalty five minutes into second-half stoppage time, which Frida Rolfo converted to take the three points.

Later on Friday night, Ashley Lawrence played the full 90 minutes for Canada as they beat Argentina 3-0 in Vancouver. Lawrence played left-back for the Canadians, who scored through Jade Rose, Nichelle Prince and Julia Grosso.
