Two of our players were back on international duty as the final warm-up matches before Euro 2024 continue.
Marc Cucurella was in the starting line-up for his fourth senior cap as Spain recovered from an early setback to beat Northern Ireland in an international friendly.
Playing their final Euro 2024 warm-up match, La Roja fell behind to an early Daniel Ballard goal.
Cucurella, starting at left-back, and his teammates found a quick response as Pedri equalised with just 12 minutes on the clock.
He later got his second with goals from Alvaro Morata and Fabian Ruiz putting Spain in total control at half-time. That was where Cucurella's work for the evening ended - replaced by Alex Grimaldo.
A further strike from Mikel Oyarzabal sealed a 5-1 win, as Spain signed off in style. The former winners face Croatia in Group B next Saturday, 15 June, for their tournament bow.
Elsewhere, Blues goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic was on the bench as Serbia picked up an impressive 3-0 friendly win in Sweden.
Petrovic was an unused substitute for the contest, goals coming from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dusan Tadic.
England await next for Serbia and Petrovic in their first game of Euro 2024 in Group C, on Sunday 16 June.
