Marc Cucurella played the full 90 minutes as Spain cruised to a 3-0 home victory over Serbia in the Nations League.

The Chelsea defender lined up at left-back for Los Roja, keeping a clean sheet in Spain’s emphatic victory which came courtesy of goals from Aymeric Laporte, former Blues striker Alvaro Morata and Alex Baena.

Cucurella’s Chelsea team-mate, Rob Sanchez, was among the Spanish substitutes but didn’t earn any minutes.

Elsewhere in Nations League action, Joao Felix entered the fray as a late substitute as Portugal were held to a goalless draw against Scotland at Hampden Park.

Renato Veiga was an unused substitute against the Scots, while Pedro Neto missed out completely. The point ensures Roberto Martinez’s side top their Nations League group and remain unbeaten from four games.

Earlier on Tuesday, in the younger age groups, a trio of Chelsea players featured at Under-21 level with a pair of goalkeepers on the winning side.

Filip Jorgensen played the first half for Denmark in their 2-0 win over Iceland, before being replaced by Andreas Jungdal at the break. The Danes have topped their group and will be at the U21 Euro finals.

Elsewhere, Lucas Bergstrom played the entire game for Finland Under-21s, as they defeated Montenegro 2-1 in Tampere. The victory is enough to ensure Finland will be in the play-offs.

And finally, in a starring role, Cesare Casadei netted for Italy in their 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland in Trieste.

The point ensures the Italians qualify for U21 Euro 2025, with Casadei finding the bottom corner with a fine strike after being picked out by Leeds winger Willy Gnonto.
