Guro Reiten and Norway took a huge step towards Euro 2025 qualification with a 4-0 play-off win over Northern Ireland, while in Rotterdam Wieke Kaptein scored her first senior Netherlands goal.

Reiten played 76 minutes at Inver Park, Country Antrim, as Norway established a first-leg advantage which seems unlikely to be overturned when the teams meet again on Tuesday.

The match-up is one of seven second round play-offs to see who will be joining those who have already qualified for next summer's Women's European Championships in Switzerland.

Reiten played her part in securing Friday night's victory as the winger was involved in the one-two which led to Caroline Graham Hansen's second and Norway's third goal, with Tuva Hansen and Guro Bergsvand grabbing the other two.

For Erin Cuthbert and Scotland, it is still all to play for on Tuesday night after the 0-0 draw with Finland in their Euro 2025 play-off match.

The Scots will now head to Helsinki for the second leg and you can watch the 5.15pm kick off on BBC ALBA.

Away from the Euro play-offs, it was a special night for Kaptein as our young midfielder scored her first goal for the Netherlands senior team during their 4-1 friendly win over China.

The scoreline does not quite reflect how close the contest was as it was China who took the lead and Kaptein's equaliser did not arrive until the 66th minute, when she tapped in from close range following Chimera Ripa's low cross from the left.

Jill Roord scored a classy second six minutes later before Lineth Beerensteyn and Esmee Brugts bagged in the space of three minutes to secure the 4-1 victory.

Veerle Buurman, who is currently on loan at PSV, was an unused substitute.

Sjoeke Nusken was also on the scoresheet on Friday night as she set Germany on their way to a 6-0 friendly win over Switzerland.

Nusken headed in Klara Buhl's corner to the near post just before half-time before Laura Freigang and Lea Schüller scored second-half braces, and Cora Zicai also found the net.

Ashley Lawrence was in action too as she captained Canada to a 0-0 draw with Iceland during their friendly at the Pinatar Arena in Spain.

We will have another international round-up later on tonight, as a number of Blues come up against their former manager Emma Hayes when England take on the USA at Wembley Stadium.
