The 47-year-old joined the Blues from Brighton & Hove Albion last week and has brought five of his Seagulls colleagues with him to south-west London.

Billy Reid takes the role of assistant coach having worked alongside Potter for the past nine years at Ostersund, Swansea City and Brighton. The Glaswegian was head coach of Clyde and Hamilton Academical in his native Scotland before moving to Sweden at the end of Potter’s second season there.

Bjorn Hamberg has worked with Potter since the start of his Ostersund tenure in January 2011 when he was just 26, having developed a reputation for himself in Sweden as player-coach of a team he helped to set up, BK Bjorner.

He will take the role of assistant coach alongside former Brighton player Bruno Saltor Grau, who has been part of the backroom team since retiring at the end of the 2018/19 season. The Spaniard made over 200 appearances for Brighton over a seven-year playing career and has worked as senior player development coach at the Amex Stadium for the past three years.

The trio will work with Anthony Barry, who continues his role as assistant coach, as does Hilario in his position as goalkeeper coach alongside new arrival Ben Roberts. The former Middlesbrough keeper started against Chelsea in the 1997 FA Cup final and has since spent time at Yeovil Town, Charlton Athletic and Brighton in a coaching capacity.

Kyle Macaulay joins in a recruitment role and will act as a conduit between that area and the coaching staff. He is familiar with Potter’s expectations and style of play having worked with our new head coach for the past decade.
